He is the same

“I am the Alpha and the Omega”, says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty”.

Revelation 1 v 8

Right now, it feels as if everything we relied on, everything that framed our lives and gave us our sense of security is being pulled from under us.

It’s disorientating, bewildering and at times, frightening.

Everything around us seems to be shifting but God says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end”.

He doesn’t change. He is the same God, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13 v 8). He stands outside time. He sees everything, He knows all things.

 It is hard to comprehend such great truths, especially when our attention is drawn to towards the current crisis. If we can lift our gaze, even for a short while each day, to our unchangeable God who sees the whole picture when we only have a glimpse, it will strengthen our faith and bring reassurance.

Thank you Father that you are the unchangeable God. That you see us, you know us and you love us.
